Pre-Trip
Must be completed prior to the crew arriving to the job site.
Uniform and PPE Check (Before Leaving the Shop)
Inspect Uniforms:
Confirm that all crew members are wearing the approved uniform for visibility and safety (e.g., reflective shirts, high-visibility vests).
Ensure uniforms are clean and free of damage that might compromise safety.
Ensure all apparel is company branded.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Hard hats: Ensure they are in good and clean condition.
Steel-toed boots: Verify that all crew members are wearing proper footwear for the jobsite.
Gloves: Check that work gloves are appropriate for the tasks and in good condition.
Safety glasses or goggles: Ensure everyone has eye protection.
Ear protection: Verify that earplugs or earmuffs are available, especially for operating loud equipment.
Weather Conditons
Check Weather Forecast: Verify that weather conditions (temperature, precipitation) are suitable for paving.
Check before mobilizing to job site
Check before releasing material order
Monitor throughout day
